FIRST LEVEL DEGREE COURSE (BSc)
GEOLOGICAL SCIENCES (180 ECTS Credits)
The goal of the first level course is to provide graduates in Geological Sciences with proper cultural and professional competence and favour their job placement or completion of their studies in the 2nd level degree course. The first two years of the course are common to all students and include geological and introductory scientific disciplines; the third year is directed to the acquisition of specific professional competence by means of diverse educational activities organised in different courses or chosen by the students. After passing the State Examination, the first level degree allows students to join the Register of the Geologists Association (Section B) and be employed as Junior Geologists.

SECOND LEVEL DEGREE COURSE (MSc)
GEO-TECHNOLOGICAL SCIENCES (120 ECTS Credits)
This Master degree course is intended to provide students in Geological Sciences with specific capabilities in planning geological interventions and in co-ordinating technical-management activities in the various fields pertaining to Geology (investigations on geological and environmental risks; subsurface exploration; identification, assessment and management of geological resources including groundwater; assessment and prevention of environmental deterioration; analysis and certification of geological rock types and raw materials for industrial applications; monitoring, management and planning of land use and environmental impact assessment). This Master degree will allow graduates to perform the full professional activities ad Senior Geologist and to have access to PhD programmes.
